About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and the developer who operates Praxtus, as named on its App Store page, called "Praxtus", "we" or "us" here. By creating an account or using Praxtus you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Praxtus.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. If you downloaded Praxtus from the App Store, Apple's standard end user license agreement for apps also applies. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for Praxtus.
What Praxtus is
Praxtus helps you log meals, workouts, body weight and recipes, set calorie and training goals, and get suggestions from an AI Coach.
Praxtus is currently free to use. If we offer paid features in the future, we will show their price and terms before you buy, and purchases made through the App Store are handled by Apple under its terms.
Who can use Praxtus
You must be at least 13 years old to use Praxtus. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may use Praxtus only with the involvement and permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms for you.
You are responsible for your account. Give accurate information, keep your password secure, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
Not medical advice
Praxtus is for general fitness and wellness. It is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose, treat or prevent any disease or condition. Nothing in Praxtus is medical, nutritional or other professional advice.
Talk to a doctor or another qualified professional before you start a new exercise program or change your diet, especially if you are pregnant, have a medical condition or an injury, take medication, or have a history of disordered eating. Stop exercising and get help if you feel pain, dizziness, faintness or shortness of breath.
Calorie targets, nutrition values, body estimates and other numbers in Praxtus are estimates. Praxtus is not for emergencies: if you think you have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.
AI features
Some features use artificial intelligence to estimate nutrition, read recipes and documents, and answer your questions. AI output can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, including nutrition values and exercise suggestions. Check anything important, use your own judgment, and do not treat it as professional advice. Suggestions from the Coach are added to your plans only when you accept them. When you write a new meal, the Coach can change that meal on your screen, which you can undo, and nothing is saved until you save it.
Acceptable use
Use Praxtus for your own personal use and in line with the law. Do not:
- try to access another person's account or data, or let others use your account;
- interfere with, overload or disrupt Praxtus or its servers, or try to get around its usage limits or security;
- copy, sell, reverse engineer or build a competing product from Praxtus, except where the law allows it;
- use bots, scripts or other automated means to access Praxtus or its AI features;
- use Praxtus, including its AI features, to create anything unlawful, harmful, abusive or infringing;
- upload, import or share content you do not have the right to use;
- use share codes to send anyone content they did not ask for, or content that is unlawful, harmful or infringing.
Your content
The meals, workouts, recipes, notes, messages, photos and anything else you add to Praxtus are your content, and you keep all your rights in it. You give us permission to store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to run Praxtus for you, including sending it to our service providers as the Privacy Policy describes. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from backup copies kept for a limited period.
Your content is private to your account unless you share it. Praxtus has no public profiles and does not show your content to other users, except that when you share a recipe, workout or program by code, anyone with that code can see what it is and add a copy to their own account. That copy is theirs to keep and change, and revoking the code does not remove it. Share only what you have the right to share, and only with people you want to have it.
Recipes and content from other sites
When you import a recipe from a link, Praxtus reads the post's caption from the site the link points to, such as TikTok, Instagram or YouTube, and saves a copy for your personal use with a credit to its creator: for TikTok and Instagram, the creator's name and the post's picture; for YouTube, a link to the video, whose picture Praxtus shows from YouTube. That content belongs to its creator, and the site's own terms apply to it. Only import content you have the right to save and use, and do not republish it without its owner's permission. Sharing such a recipe by code passes a copy to another person, so share it only where its owner allows.
When you import recipes from a file, such as a PDF, Praxtus has the file read and saves the recipes you choose for your personal use, with any credit the file gives. Only import files you have the right to use, and do not republish recipes from them without their owner's permission.
Praxtus links to websites and services run by others, such as exercise videos and recipe sources. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, and their own terms and privacy policies apply. If you import from YouTube, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service at https://www.youtube.com/t/terms.
If you believe something in Praxtus infringes your rights, contact us and we will look into it.
Our rights in Praxtus
Praxtus, including its design, software, text, graphics and logo, belongs to us and our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control, under these terms.
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
Changes to Praxtus and to these terms
We may change, add or remove features, and we may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for significant changes we will let you know before they take effect, for example in the app. If you keep using Praxtus after that, the updated terms apply.
Ending your use
You can stop using Praxtus at any time, and you can delete your account in the app at Settings → Delete account.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or could expose us to legal liability, and we will tell you when we reasonably can. We may also stop offering Praxtus, and if we do, we will try to tell you in advance.
Parts of these terms that by their nature should continue, such as the disclaimers and limits on liability, continue after your use ends.
Disclaimers
We work to keep Praxtus accurate and available, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that Praxtus will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, or that its estimates and suggestions will be accurate. You are responsible for the decisions you make about your health, diet and training.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of Praxtus. Our total liability for any claim relating to Praxtus is limited to the amount you paid us for Praxtus in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing in them takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
